Description : "From ashes to Idols" fame Akash Singh who is an alumnus of Pragyan Public School Jewar has again added one more feather in his cap. The fifth edition of the United Nations Awards V-Awards, instituted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, UNV India and UNDP in India recognized and felicitated Akash Singh for Helping Marginalized by Upcycling Temple Leftovers. Unv India and UN partners had the honour to have Hon'ble Minister Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India Anurag Thakur to grace the celebration of International Volunteer Day IVD2022.Akash Singh, who grew up in a village near Jewar in Uttar Pradesh, collects temple leftovers and uses them to create exquisite artifacts with the aid of prison inmates. This is how Akash not only reduced the quantity of temple waste dumped in the lake but also created work opportunities for jail inmates and marginalized communities. Talking to Life Beyond Numbers, he shared how he has been striving to liberate the marginal communities behind bars of unappreciated potential by collecting and recycling temple waste into sculptures. He registered his idea as a startup by the name Energinne Solutions.Pragyan Principal Ms.Deepti Sharma and the Manager Mr. Harish Kumar Sharma congratulated him for this great achievement.They also praised him for giving Skill development training to over 1250 Banjara women and 150 rural women.Akash Singh is a shining example of youth in action, guaranteeing a clean environment and ensuring that no one is left behind.
