Description : "If the work you do makes life easier to navigate,then the work you do makes the world a better place" 22 December 2022 / On the occasion of 135th birth anniversary of country's great mathematician Srinivasan Ramanujan, Pragyan Public School Jewar organised Maths Fair with great enthusiasm .The birthday of the great mathematician Srinivasan Ramanujan is celebrated as Mathematics Day on 22nd December. On this occasion, Maths Fair was organised under the visionary guidance of the Principal Mrs. Deepti Sharma and the Head of the Mathematics Department, Mr. Ashok Kumar Sharma.On this occasion, Managers/Principals/Representatives and Parents of various schools of the region were specially invited. The guests were welcomed in the school by applying tilak and presenting badges. School manager Mr. Harish Kumar Sharma and Principal Mrs. Deepti Sharma welcomed the special guests Ms.Gunjan Bansal,Principal The Mother Divine International School,Mr.Subhash Chandra Sharma Owner of R.K.Academic ,Mr.Dhanesh Kr.Gupta,Mr.Yatish Kr. Gupta Retd.Maths teachers Janta Inter College, Mr.Yashpal Singh A.B.S.A.Jewar by presenting them saplings and cards. A cake was also cut on the birth anniversary of great mathematician Srinivasan Ramanujan. The mathematics fair was inaugurated by the manager of the school, Mr. Harish Kumar Sharma, Principal Mrs. Deepti Sharma, the chief guest Mr. Ashok Kumar Sharma, Head of the Department of Mathematics, and all the faculty in-charges by lighting the lamp in front of Maa Saraswati. Saraswati-Vandana and welcome songs were presented by the students. On this exceptional occurrence, the students of the school displayed the concept of profit-loss, percentage, two-dimensional and three-dimensional figures by setting up stalls for buying and selling. Students presented various concepts of mathematics through cultural programs, which included geometric shapes and symbols through Bhangra dance, real numbers through Tamil song-dance,'The morning of Arithmetic 'dance showed the usefulness of mathematics in daily life. Integrated concepts of parentheses-of--(order)-division-multiplication-addition-subtraction, parallel lines, lines and angles and mathematics subjects were shown through short skits. Besides these, dance performances were also given on 'Kya Hai Yeh Math' , 'Jab Bharat Ne Zero Diya' song and classroom management song.The students also acquainted audience with Math by a skit depicting the life of Srinivasan Ramanujan. All the visitors who came to the maths fair appreciated the presentations of maths by the students. In making the math fair a huge success, Head of Mathematics Department Mr. Ashok Kumar Sharma, Mr. Sanjeev Sharma, Mr. Radheshyam Chowdhary, Mr. Devesh Maheshwari, Mr. Kuldeep Bansal, Mr. Jayesh, Mr. Rahul Joshi, Mr. Yogesh Vikal, Miss. Laxmi Sharma, Miss. Manju Sharma, Miss.Hina Kaushik, Miss.Shalu Attri, Mr.Adil Saifi were in lead roles. School manager Mr. Harish Kumar Sharma, while paying tribute to the country's great mathematician Srinivasan Ramanujan , highlighted his life and appreciated the program presented by the students. On this occasion, the principal of the school, Mrs. Deepti Sharma acclaimed the great Mathematician Srinivasan Ramanujan and emphasized on making Mathematics easy with hands-on learning and 'Khel-Khel Mein Maths 'which remove the fear of Mathematics from students mind.
