Workshop on "Capacity Building Programme on Classroom Management"

Two day’s workshop on very important and crucial subject ‘Capacity Building Programme on Classroom Management’ was organized in Pragyan public school, Jewar (G.B Nagar) on 6th and 7th October 2017. About 47 teachers from various schools of jewar region participated in this workshop.

The workshop was started with the holy rituals of offering prayer and lighting the lamp of knowledge and worshipping the Goddess Saraswati. This was followed by a very warm welcome of the guests by Mr. Harish Kumar Sharma (Manager) and Mrs. Deepti Sharma, Principal (Pragyan Public School, Jewar). The Trainer Ms. Archana Narain, Principal (The Indian Heights School, Dwarka, New Delhi) was the resource person of the first day of the workshop. She gave very useful techniques to setup an ideal classroom management. These included a practical physical arrangement, content and time management. She also summed up the essential qualities of an effective teacher. With the help of various activities for the teachers, she brought an ideal classroom situation. She also illustrated different sitting plans and different types of teachers.

The Second day of the workshop was even more useful and the master trainer Ms. Sudha Acharya, Principal (ITL Public School, Dwarka, New Delhi) with her co-trainer Ms. Beena Ramnish (Head Mistress, ITL, Dwarka) made the subject ‘Classroom Management’ of great importance.

In her suggested effective steps Ms. Acharya discussed about classroom rules procedures and routines. In her suggested latest effective classroom management techniques, she advised all the teachers to be concerned about Consequences and Rewads with proper feedback and Reinforcement. She emphasized to make a Motivational Classroom Management Plan to make teaching learning process more effective and goal oriented. The two day’s workshop was an unforgettable learning experience for all the teachers. Mrs. Deepti Sharma, Principal (Pragyan Public School, Jewar) thanked the resource persons and wished all the teachers better teaching practices.
