Description : The students of Pragyan Public School Jewar visited ABES Engineering College,Ghaziabad on 22nd July,22 to meet great physicist Shri Harish Chandra Verma and attended a workshop conducted by him.He is an Indian Experimental Physicist ,author and emeritus professor of Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur .In 2021,he was awarded the Padma Shri .The main topic of the workshop was NAEST 2022(National Anveshika Experimental Skill Test).It was attended by the Pragyan students of classes 9th to 12th and the Science teachers.Shri H.C.Verma suggested teachers to change the way of teaching and to give more emphasis on learning by doing.According to his philosophy ,there should be no limitation of exploring and no assessment on the basis of marks.The students can share their ideas and experiences in the classroom. He enlightened them with the knowledge of different concepts of physics.The students also asked some questions and clarified their doubts.The students were very elated and motivated after meeting with him.The session was helpful to encourage self-directing learning in the students and continuation of science exploration.
