Description : June 1, 2024 / The Shrimad Bhagwat Week Gyan Yagya, which was being held from May 25 to June 1 at Pragyan Public School, Jewar, concluded with a havan and feast. During the grand ceremony of Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, the audience listened to the essence of Sanatan literature, Vedas, and Puranas, narrated by Katha Vyas Pandit Damodar Prasad Sharma. On the concluding day of the Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapurana Week Gyan Yagya, a special grand ceremony was conducted by distinguished Brahmins. The Brahmins, with the help of the hosts, conducted the formal worship and havan of all the deities. After the havan, girl worship, Brahmin worship, and saint worship were performed. The girls, Brahmins, and saints were served food and honored with gifts. Notable people from the Jewar area were specially invited to the feast and were served food.Katha Vyas Pandit Damodar Prasad Sharma highlighted the importance of the yajna, havan, Bhagwat Katha, and the feast offerings, stating that havan-yajna not only purifies the environment and atmosphere but also grants spiritual strength to humans. He mentioned that Shrimad Bhagwat Katha is like a pot of nectar, the mere listening of which eradicates sins from multiple lifetimes and leads the soul to attain the supreme position with devotion, knowledge, and detachment. He explained the significance of the feast offerings of Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, saying that its essence purifies the mind and intellect, and therefore, the feast should be respected and the offerings should be accepted.On this occasion, hosts Shri Harish Kumar Sharma, Smt. Deepti Sharma, Shri Vimal Sharma, Smt. Sonwati Sharma, Shri Amol Kumar Sharma, Smt. Saroj Sharma, Shri Manish Kumar Sharma, and Smt. Monika Sharma welcomed Katha Vyas Pandit Damodar Prasad Sharma and the Brahmins with tilak, flower garlands, and mementos.
