Description : The annual fair held on the occasion of Lord Balaram’s birth festival, Baldev Chhath, was once again celebrated this year in Jewar with great joy and traditional enthusiasm. Among the various religious and cultural programmes, the special attraction this time was the Girls’ Kabaddi Competition, successfully organized with the support of Pragyan Public School, Jewar.The fair was inaugurated with a flag hoisting ceremony by Mr. Om Prakash Sharma (President, Shri Dau Ji Mandir Management Committee, Jewar), Mr. Anil Kumar Sharma (Acting President, Shri Dau Ji Mandir Management Committee, Jewar), Mr. Amol Kumar Sharma (Treasurer, Pragyan Public School, Jewar), and Mr. Banwari Lal Sharma (General Secretary, Shri Dau Ji Mandir Management Committee, Jewar).The Kabaddi competition was formally commenced by Mr. Anil Kumar Sharma (Acting President, Shri Dau Ji Mandir Management Committee, Jewar) by breaking a coconut as per tradition. On this occasion, Mr. Ashwani Sharma, Mr. Amarkant Sharma, Mr. Deepakant Sharma, Mr. Kailash Chand Sharma (Treasurer), and Mr. Vijay Kumar Sharma (Auditor) were also present.On behalf of Pragyan School Management, complete arrangements for food, rest, and other necessary facilities were made for all the participating girls’ teams.The Kabaddi competition witnessed a splendid display of strength, skill, and sportsmanship by the girls, which captivated the audience. This event not only enhanced the glory of the Baldev Chhath fair but also inspired girls from rural areas to participate in sports while spreading a strong message of women empowerment.
