Description : On the auspicious occasion of the Navratri Durga Mahotsav, the three-day Girls’ Kabaddi Tournament, organized under the aegis of Pragyan Public School, Jewar, concluded today with great enthusiasm and spirit. The tournament, which began on 22nd September, was inaugurated with a traditional Hanuman Poojan to pray for the success of the event and the prosperity of all participating players. The inauguration ceremony was graced by Shri Surendra Kaushik (President, Durga Mandir Committee), Shri Devesh Jain (Treasurer), Shri Kuldeep, Shri Dev Sharma, Dr. Harish Kumar Sharma (School Manager), Dr. Deepti Sharma (Principal), Shri Amol Kumar Sharma (Treasurer), and school faculty members Shri Gajendra Singh Yadav and Shri Vijay Kumar Sharma.The tournament witnessed the participation of renowned girls’ kabaddi teams from five states, including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Punjab. Pragyan Public School ensured excellent arrangements for the players, including meals, accommodation, and all necessary facilities.On the final day, 24th September, thrilling matches kept the audience on edge.In the first semifinal, ITBP defeated Punjab-A by 42–19. In the second semifinal, Monu Alawalpur overcame Yashpal Meerut with a close 43–38 victory.In the third match, Yashpal Academy triumphed over Punjab-A by 27–09.The grand finale was a nail-biting contest in which Monu Alawalpur defeated ITBP by a narrow margin of 45–43 to claim the championship title, while ITBP secured the runner-up position.During the closing ceremony, Dr. Harish Kumar Sharma (School Manager) and Dr. Deepti Sharma (Principal) extended their best wishes to all participants, highlighting that sports not only enhance physical fitness but also nurture discipline, teamwork, and a spirit of unity in life
