Description : An informative Abacus Orientation Session was organised to introduce the fundamentals and benefits of abacus learning to teachers. The session aimed to help the teachers in developing students’ concentration, speed, and mental calculation abilities through structured abacus training.The programme commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting, symbolising the beginning of knowledge and wisdom. The resource persons, Mrs. Vibha and Mr. Mukesh Paliwal (Business Consultant) were warmly welcomed with gratitude and respect.The session began with an introduction to the Abacus and Soroban, highlighting their importance in enhancing numerical skills and brain development. Teachers were guided on the demonstrations of Master Abacus practice, speed writing, and oral drills, which help strengthen mental arithmetic and improve accuracy. The 7-rod and 17-rod abacus tools were also introduced, and the trainers explained the learning progression from the basic level up to concepts such as “Big Friends.” On this occasion, the Manager Dr. Harish Kumar Sharma and the Principal Dr. Deepti Sharma jointly appreciated the initiative and emphasised the importance of abacus learning in enhancing students’ concentration, confidence, and mathematical skills. They thanked the resource persons for their valuable guidance.
